    Job Description

    Alcon, a division of Novartis, is a world leader in Ophthalmology. Novartis is a World Leader in the Health Care Industry.

    Alcon is currently seeking a Surgical Account Manager to be based in Lebanon and reporting to Levant Cluster Manager-Surgical. We are looking for a highly motivated and professional team player with minimum 2 years of professional experience in the Sales.

    Major Purpose:
    Sales of Surgical range (Intra Ocular Lenses (IOLs) implanted post Cataract operations, Advanced Technology Intra Ocular Lenses (ATIOLs), Viscoelastics, Equipments for Cataract & Vitrectomy machines and paks for these machines, development of customers with potential and the acquisition of new customers.
    Delivering the company strategy for the whole surgical product range in the Operation Theater (OT) as well as in the clinics with ophthalmologists & the rest of the OT staff & professionals.

    Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
    1.Full accountability of territory (sales, distribution, active customers, market share…)
    2.Responsible for delivering sales targets according to set budget
    3.Delivering and implementing company strategy
    4.Support marketing in delivering programmes
    5.Customer development and care through implementation of tailored support and activities
    6.Launch of new products
    7.Training of staff in Operation Theatre on our equipments and Surgical product range

    Education (minimum/desirable):
    •Sales or commercial background with good business understanding
    •Optical/Optometrist degree with sales experience is an advantage or Scientific degree in Pharmacy, Bio medical engineering, chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry or similar.

    •Arabic and English Written and Spoken fluency are a must.

    •Excellent social skills
    •Business understanding
    •Result oriented with strong drive to make it happen
    •Open mind: willingness to challenge status quo
    •Delivering on commitment
    •Team spirit

    IT Skills:
    •Ability to develop PowerPoint presentations for customer training.
    •Good command of E-mail and Excel

    Experience/Professional requirement:
    •At least 2 years of working experience in the sales field is required for this position.
    •Solid sales experience with track record of developing customers and delivering on company targets.
    •Must be analytical, detailed, organized and systematic.
    •Experience in territory and distributor management is an advantage.
