    Save the Children is the leading independent organization creating lasting change in the lives of children in need around the world. Save the Children has been operating in Lebanon since 1999 and is recognized for its commitment to accountability, innovation and collaboration.  Save the Children currently implements programs in Child Protection, Education, CRC and Emergency Response throughout Lebanon.

    Save the Children is seeking qualified candidates to fulfill the following positions, on 5month/ 6 months  contracts, with possible extension,   for its Lebanon Country Office, in the following locations Beirut, Tripoli, Akkar and Bekaa:

    Distribution Officer: (Beirut with regular field visits to field all over Lebanon)
    The distribution officer will be responsible for the implementation and the supervision of projects’ distributions. He will establish the distributions plan, collaborate with the Transport Officer to prepare trucking and loading plans, communicate distribution plan with community and stakeholders involved, and get support from local authorities and local leaders to ease distribution. HE will also  report of the distribution activities based on donor requirements. He will ensure a strict adherence to the principles of Child Protection at all times.


    Job Requirements:
    •   A university Degree in Social Work, or any relevant field
    •   At least one or two years experience in distribution or logistics, preferably in an NGO environment or Humanitarian setting
    •   Good report writing and communication skills – both written and verbal (English and Arabic)
    •   Good computer skills and able to maintain files, and registers
    •   Strong organisation, management and negotiation skills.
    •   Valid Driving License.
